Water main break at 72 Avenue and 204 Street, May 1

Update May 1 at 3:10pm: The water main break has been repaired and utility staff are currently flushing the system. Residents impacted by the water main break are encouraged to run cold water taps for 20 minutes.

Utility crews are working to repair a water main break at 72 Avenue and 204 Street. Traffic control has been set up at the intersection of 72 Avenue and 204 Street with single lane alternating traffic in the south bound lane of 204 Street. 

As the work progresses and repairs take place, residents in the immediate area will encounter low to no water pressure due to the isolation of the effected portion of watermain. Additionally, some residents in the surrounding area may experience lower than normal water pressure until the repair has been completed. 

Once water service is restored, residents impacted by the water main break are encouraged to run cold water taps for 20 minutes.
