Water Main Flushing – Spring 2024

The Township of Langley is flushing water mains this spring. Flushing will be carried out in the following areas and communities from Monday, March 4 to Friday, April 26:
- Brookswood
- High Point
- Northwest Langley
- Southwest Langley
- Willoughby
The work is weather dependent, and the scheduled flushing dates are subject to change.
Water main flushing is performed to improve water quality, remove sediment, and prevent unwelcome tastes, odours, and turbidity.
As a result of water main flushing, residents may notice temporary changes in water pressure. While some discolouration or sediment in the water may occur, it is a temporary condition and is not a health hazard. To avoid inconvenience, residents may wish to check the water before doing laundry, and to keep water in the refrigerator for drinking and cooking during flushing in their neighbourhood.
