Willoughby Apartment Fire Information - UPDATE April 22 9:00 am

THANK YOU! to all the firefighters, police, and other first responders, Emergency Program team and volunteers, SD35, the Salvation Army, Langley City Fire Rescue, BC Hydro, ToL staff, and the many generous and supportive community members and businesses who helped, and continue to help, in the response and recovery from the major Willoughby apartments fire. We truly have so many amazing and caring people who live and work in this great community.

Residence Updates
- Luxia Townhome complex (7947 209 Street) - Luxia residents have been cleared to return to their homes. If residents have questions or concerns about their residence, they are to contact their Luxia strata management.
- The Boulevard Townhome complexes (20849-20852 78B Avenue) - residents are cleared to return to their residences at 8pm tonight - April 20 after significant dangerous debris and ash clean-up is completed.
- The Willoughby Walk building (20839 78B Avenue) - has been cleared by the Fire Department for residents to return as of 5pm today - April 20. Other updates are forthcoming as other inspections are completed.
Traffic Impacts - UPDATE 7:30pm April 21
The intersection of 80 Avenue and 208 Street has re-opened. The curb lanes on 208 Street and 80 Avenue fronting the site of the fire remain closed. Traffic delays may still be experienced.
