Annual clean up of personal items at cemeteries
The Township of Langley recognizes the importance of honouring and remembering loved ones in our municipal cemeteries. Families are welcome to celebrate those they cherish through the placement of flowers and memorial items.
As part of our responsibility to keep cemetery grounds clean, well maintained, and safe for visitors and staff, an annual clean up is required. Over time, adornments and decorations can become weathered or damaged, creating safety concerns for maintenance crews and the public.
In accordance with Cemetery Bylaw 2016 No. 5236, families are respectfully asked to remove any restricted adornments prior to Monday, April 20, 2026. This helps ensure a safe environment while preserving the beauty and dignity of the cemetery grounds.
