Changes to admission fees keep recreation accessible
Changes to admission fees and passes this fall will help keep recreation accessible, as Council approved further cost reductions for seniors and froze fee increases on admissions for all other ages.
These lower fees are effective as of Monday, September 1, 2025.
The following admission fees and passes for “super seniors” aged 70 and older will be cut in half:
- Drop-in fees will be $0.50 (previously $1.00)
- 10-visit cards will be $5 (previously $10)
- 20-visit cards will be $10 (previously $20)
- 1-year Active Pass will be $49.50 (previously $99.00).
“Seniors” aged 60 to 69 will also benefit from reductions to drop-in fees, 10-visit and 20-visit cards, and Active Passes (30-day, 90-day, and 1-year). Costs for all other ages will remain the same in these categories.
These changes follow several other improvements Council has actioned in the past couple of years, including the expansion of Township resident priority access to registered programs; the implementation of a non-resident surcharge on high-demand programs; reducing the age of “super seniors” to 70+ from 80+; approving cost reductions on annual passes for children, youth, families and seniors; and offering a School’s Out discount program for children and youth that provides 50% off admission rates to drop-in activities during spring break, winter holiday break and Langley School District Pro D days.
