Summer Nights in the Township Returns in July

Every week in July and August, the Township of Langley is offering a variety of free and low-cost outdoor events throughout the Township. Residents can enjoy the Township’s parks, outdoor spaces, and facilities for concerts, Family Fun Nights, movie nights, water fights, and more.

Concerts at the Willoughby Community Park Amphitheatre every Thursday evening at 7pm will showcase talented musicians from different genres, while outdoor movies at various parks will feature family-friendly films. New this year, the Langley Community Farmer’s Market will be on-site every Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30pm with a diverse group of makers, bakers, farmers, small businesses, and more.

Family Fun Nights at Lynn Fripps Park and Philip Jackman Park will feature a foam party, bouncy castles, games, activities, food trucks, and a DJ spinning hit music.

A Community Water Fight at the spray park at Willoughby Community Park invites kids and adults of all ages to bring water guns or any type of water dispensing device to soak “opponents.”

The Township’s popular special events return to The Outdoor Experience at Aldergrove Community Centre from July through September. Advance online registration is required for all events listed below (no drop-ins). Registration opens seven days in advance of each event for both Township and non-Township residents.

• Dive-in movie theatre: everyone can enjoy this unique experience. Bring an inflatable floatie and float around Breaker Bay or relax poolside while watching a family-friendly movie on the big screen.
• Sip ‘n Dip events: adults (ages 19+) can experience the waterpark in a kid-free atmosphere while enjoying local craft beer and wine.
• Youth nights: youth ages 13 to 18, will take over the waterpark for two nights where they can have fun in a kid- free and parent-free environment.
• Family Nights: Adults and children can spend time together and create lasting memories.

Admission to Youth Night and Family Night events at The Outdoor Experience are included with a Summer Fun Pass for children and youth.
