Are there other methods the Township is using to communicate? |
The website is the primary source for official Township-specific information and updates related to COVID-19, but we also use Twitter and Facebook, eNewsletters, newspaper ads, media releases, and signs at our facilities and in the community. |

Where is the Township getting their information from? |
We are actively monitoring updates and directives from federal and provincial governments and health authorities. |
How is the Township making decisions? |
The Township follows public heath orders and guidance from the Provincial Government, Fraser Health, and WorkSafeBC, and makes decisions with respect to safety protocols, pandemic response, and restart activities in the context of health and safety. |
What is the Township doing to combat the spread of COVID-19? |
Throughout the pandemic the Township follows the orders and guidelines of the Provincial Health Officer with respect to the safety of community members and employees including mask use, vaccination requirements, safe hygiene practices, and physical distancing. |
What emergency steps has the Township of Langley taken during this outbreak? |
Mayor and Council continue to govern and Township management and staff continue to work to ensure services are delivered to the community. The joint Township of Langley and Langley City Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) was activated to provide additional assistance to ensure appropriate levels of services were in place to support our communities through a centralized information and response centre, however the EOC has since been deactivated. |

Yes. Council meetings continue, as legislated by the provincial government. The public can attend Council meetings in-person, and web streamed meetings will continue to allow for convenient public viewing. |

As needed, on-site meetings are occurring. Events are restarting following public health orders and guidance. Council meetings continue, as legislated by the provincial government. The public can attend Council meetings in-person, and web streamed meetings will continue to allow for convenient public viewing. |

Visit bc211.ca, or call or text 211, for a comprehensive list of community and social services. The Langley Senior Resources Society is currently offering a meal pick-up program and Langley Meals on Wheels provides meal delivery. |
How are the homeless population being helped? |
The Ministry of Health and BC Housing have communicated COVID-19-related recommendations and resources to social service organizations that provide housing and serve people experiencing homelessness. |
I want to help, what can I do? |
Thank you, our community can come together (while maintaining social distancing) during this difficult time. Above all, follow the advice of the public health experts to protect your own health and prevent the spread of the virus to others. It is also important to stay connected with your community – call your friends and family and maintain those vital social connections. Reach out to neighbours to see if there’s anything you can get for them if you’re doing an essential-needs run to the grocery store or pharmacy. Let’s look after one another.
