Here are the current planned, non-emergency traffic, trail, utility, and park closures and impacts throughout the Township of Langley. All work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled or extended as required. Monday, November 10 to Sunday, November 16

Traffic Impact: 16 Avenue between 24400 Block and 246 Street, November 12 
Construction work is scheduled on 16 Avenue between 24400 Block and 246 Street resulting in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 3pm on November 12. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced. 

Special event road closure: Glover Road between 88 Avenue and 96 Avenue, November 11
The Remembrance Day ceremony in Fort Langley will close Glover Road between 88 Avenue and 96 Avenue from 10am to 12pm on November 11. A detour route will be in effect. View map. Delays may be experienced.

Special event road closure: Fraser Highway between 264 Street and 271 Street, November 11
The Aldergrove Remembrance Day Parade will close Fraser Highway between 264 Street and 271 Street from 10am to 12:30pm on November 11. A detour route will be in effect. View map. Delays may be experienced.

Temporary road closures: 84 Avenue between 196 Street and 198 Street, November 10 to 28
Construction work on 84 Avenue between 196 Street and 198 Street, will result in a full road closure from 7am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, on November 10 to 28. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 88 Ave between 204 Street and 205 Street, November 11 to December 31
Utility work on 88 Ave between 204 Street and 205 Street is scheduled for November 11 to December 31 and will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 252 Street, North of 88 Avenue, November 12 to 14
Railway crossing widening work at the railway crossing on 252 Street, north of 88 Avenue will result in a road closure of 252 Street on November 12 to 14. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained north of the crossing. Traffic control personnel will be on site and traffic delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 248 Street between 48 Avenue and 50 Avenue, November 6 to February 13
Utility work on 248 Street between 48 Avenue and 50 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, on November 6 to February 13. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 48 Avenue between 272 Street and 27500 Block, extended to December 19
Maintenance work on 48 Avenue between 272 Street and 27500 Block will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9pm to 5:30am, Monday to Thursday, and 9pm to 7am on Friday, from September 15 to December 19. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 200 Street between 24 Avenue and 28 Avenue, November 6 to December 31
Utility work on 200 Street between 24 Avenue and 28 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from Monday to Friday, 7am to 8pm and on Saturday from 9am to 5pm on November 6 to December 31. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 264 Street between 52 Avenue and 56 Avenue, November 5 to December 5
Utility work on 264 Street between 52 Avenue and 56 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, on November 5 to December 5. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 76 Avenue between 204 Street and 206 Street, November 4 to 14
Maintenance work on 76 Avenue between 204 Street and 206 Street will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, on November 4 to 14. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Trail closure: Yorkson Creek Trail between 206 Street and 208 Street, November 3 to December 1
Retaining wall and trail resurfacing work will close the Yorkson Creek Trail from 206 Street to 208 Street from November 3 to December 1.  

Traffic impact: River Road and 252 Street, extended to November 30
Road maintenance on River Road, where it turns into 88 Avenue, is scheduled until November 30 and will result in single lane alternating traffic from Monday to Saturday, 7am to 8pm. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 32 Avenue between 202 Street and 204 Street, extended to December 19
Utility work on 32 Avenue between 202 Street and 204 Street will result in single lane alternating traffic on Monday to Friday from 7am to 9pm, and on Saturday 9am to 5pm, from October 6 to December 19. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 272 Street between Fraser Highway and 32 Avenue, extended to November 30
Utility work on 272 Street between Fraser Highway and 32 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, on October 31 to November 30. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 40 Avenue between 208 Street and 213A Street, extended to November 15
Road work on 40 Avenue between 208 Street and 213A Street will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, extended to November 15. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 205 Street between 32 Avenue and 36 Avenue, October 27 to January 31
Utility work on 205 Street between 32 Avenue and 36 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, on October 27 to January 31. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced. 

Traffic impact: Nathan Slough Bridge 272 Street and 8800 Block, October 10 until further notice

Maintenance on the Nathan Slough Bridge at 272 Street, between the 8700 and 8800 Block, will result in a speed reduction of 30km/hour from October 10 to 13. Signage is in place to indicate speed reduction. Starting October 14 until further notice, the south bound lane (west half of bridge) will be closed to traffic with single lane alternating traffic allowed via temporary traffic signal. Temporary barriers have been installed on the south bound lane.

Traffic impact: 216 Street between 6700 Block and Highway 10, October 15 to November 30
Construction work on 216 Street between 6700 Block and Highway 10 will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday, on October 15 to November 30. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: Fraser Highway between 27100 Block and 27300 Block, October 2 to November 14
Utility work on Fraser Highway between 27100 Block and 27300 Block is scheduled for October 2 to November 14 and will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 3pm.

Additionally, utility work will occur on 272 Street, between 29A Avenue and the 3100 Block, with single lane alternating traffic during the following hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 7am to 7pm
  • Saturday: 7am to 5pm

Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced. 

Traffic impact: 203 Street between 66 Avenue and 67 Avenue and 66 Avenue between 203 Street and 205 Street, extended to January 30
Construction work on 203 Street between 66 Avenue and 67 Avenue and work on 66 Avenue between 203 Street and 205 Street, will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 30pm until January 30. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 88 Avenue between 19600 Block to 200 Street, September 18 to November 11
Utility work on 88 Avenue between 19600 Block to 200 Street will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday on September 18 to November 11. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 80 Avenue between 204 Street and 212 Street, September 16 to January 31
Utility work on 80 Avenue between 204 Street and 212 Street will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 2:30pm on September 16 to January 31. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 80 Avenue between 192 Street and 197 Street, September 15 to January 30
Road work on 80 Avenue between 192 Street and 197 Street will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 5pm on September 15 to January 30. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.


 

Monday, November 3 to Sunday, November 9

Traffic impact: Fraser Highway between 24300 Block and 248 Street, November 9
Paving along Fraser Highway between 24300 block and 248 Street is scheduled for November 9 from 9am to 5pm. Two-way traffic will be maintained, but traffic delays may be experienced. Traffic control personnel will be on site.

Traffic impact: Glover Road between Mavis Ave and Billy Brown Road, November 6 to 14
Utility work on Glover Road between Mavis Ave and Billy Brown Road is scheduled for November 6 to 14 and will result in single lane alternating traffic from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 248 Street between 48 Avenue and 50 Avenue, November 6 to February 13
Utility work on 248 Street between 48 Avenue and 50 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, on November 6 to February 13. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 48 Avenue between 272 Street and 27500 Block, extended to December 19
Maintenance work on 48 Avenue between 272 Street and 27500 Block will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9pm to 5:30am, Monday to Thursday, and 9pm to 7am on Friday, from September 15 to December 19. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 200 Street between 24 Avenue and 28 Avenue, November 6 to December 31
Utility work on 200 Street between 24 Avenue and 28 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from Monday to Friday, 7am to 8pm and on Saturday from 9am to 5pm on November 6 to December 31. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 264 Street between 52 Avenue and 56 Avenue, November 5 to December 5
Utility work on 264 Street between 52 Avenue and 56 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, on November 5 to December 5. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 76 Avenue between 204 Street and 206 Street, November 4 to 14
Maintenance work on 76 Avenue between 204 Street and 206 Street will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, on November 4 to 14. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Trail closure: Yorkson Creek Trail between 206 Street and 208 Street, November 3 to December 1
Retaining wall and trail resurfacing work will close the Yorkson Creek Trail from 206 Street to 208 Street from November 3 to December 1.  

Traffic impact: 52 Avenue between 216 Street and 217A Street, November 3 to November 7
Tree pruning on 52 Avenue between 216 Street and 217A Street will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, on November 3 to November 7. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: River Road and 252 Street, extended to November 30
Road maintenance on River Road, where it turns into 88 Avenue, is scheduled until November 30 and will result in single lane alternating traffic from Monday to Saturday, 7am to 8pm. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 32 Avenue between 202 Street and 204 Street, extended to December 19
Utility work on 32 Avenue between 202 Street and 204 Street will result in single lane alternating traffic on Monday to Friday from 7am to 9pm, and on Saturday 9am to 5pm, from October 6 to December 19. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 272 Street between Fraser Highway and 32 Avenue, extended to November 30
Utility work on 272 Street between Fraser Highway and 32 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, on October 31 to November 30. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 56 Avenue between 211 Street and Langley Bypass, October 30 to November 7
Night work on 56 Avenue between 211 Street and Langley Bypass will result in single lane alternating traffic from 8pm to 5am, Monday to Friday on October 30 to November 7. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced. The contractor has indicated they will provide their best efforts to mitigate construction noise and traffic disruptions wherever possible.

Traffic impact: 40 Avenue between 208 Street and 213A Street, extended to November 15
Road work on 40 Avenue between 208 Street and 213A Street will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, extended to November 15. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic Impact: 44 Avenue between 216 Street and 217B Street, extended to October 31
Paving work on 44 Avenue between 216 Street and 217B Street will result in single lane alternating traffic Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 4:30pm, on October 27 to October 31. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 196 Street between 84 Avenue and 86 Avenue, October 27 to November 7
Construction work on 196 Street between 84 Avenue and 86 Avenue, will result in a full road closure from 7am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, on October 27 to November 7. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 205 Street between 32 Avenue and 36 Avenue, October 27 to January 31
Utility work on 205 Street between 32 Avenue and 36 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, on October 27 to January 31. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced. 

Traffic impact: 88 Avenue between 217A Street and 223 Street, October 27 to November 7
Utility work on 88 Avenue between 217A Street and 223 Street will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 2pm, Monday to Friday, on October 27 to November 7. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Maintenance work on 216 Street between 96 Avenue and 9700 Block will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday, on September 8 to November 8. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: Fraser Highway between 27100 Block and 27300 Block, October 2 to November 14
Utility work on Fraser Highway between 27100 Block and 27300 Block is scheduled for October 2 to November 14 and will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 3pm.

Additionally, utility work will occur on 272 Street, between 29A Avenue and the 3100 Block, with single lane alternating traffic during the following hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 7am to 7pm
  • Saturday: 7am to 5pm

Paving work on 224 Street between 0 Avenue and 4 Avenue will result in single alternating traffic on Sunday, November 2 from 7am to 7pm. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: River Road and 252 Street, extended to November 30
Road maintenance on River Road, where it turns into 88 Avenue, is scheduled until November 30 and will result in single lane alternating traffic from Monday to Saturday, 7am to 8pm. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 32 Avenue between 202 Street and 204 Street, extended to December 19
Utility work on 32 Avenue between 202 Street and 204 Street will result in single lane alternating traffic on Monday to Friday from 7am to 9pm, and on Saturday 9am to 5pm, from October 6 to December 19. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 272 Street between Fraser Highway and 32 Avenue, extended to November 30
Utility work on 272 Street between Fraser Highway and 32 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, on October 31 to November 30. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 56 Avenue between 211 Street and Langley Bypass, October 30 to November 7
Night work on 56 Avenue between 211 Street and Langley Bypass will result in single lane alternating traffic from 8pm to 5am, Monday to Friday on October 30 to November 7. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced. The contractor has indicated they will provide their best efforts to mitigate construction noise and traffic disruptions wherever possible.

Traffic Impact: 44 Avenue between 216 Street and 217B Street, extended to October 31
Paving work on 44 Avenue between 216 Street and 217B Street will result in single lane alternating traffic Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 4:30pm, on October 27 to October 31. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 196 Street between 84 Avenue and 86 Avenue, October 27 to November 7
Construction work on 196 Street between 84 Avenue and 86 Avenue, will result in a full road closure from 7am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, on October 27 to November 7. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 205 Street between 32 Avenue and 36 Avenue, October 27 to January 31
Utility work on 205 Street between 32 Avenue and 36 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, on October 27 to January 31. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 200 Street between 42 Avenue and 44 Avenue, October 20 to 31
Utility work on 200 Street between 42 Avenue and 44 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 2pm, Monday to Friday, on October 20 to 31. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Road work on 40 Avenue between 213A Street and 216 Street will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, on October 6 to 31. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 32 Avenue between 202 Street and 204 Street, October 6 to 31
Utility work on 32 Avenue between 202 Street and 204 Street will result in single lane alternating traffic Monday to Friday from 7am to 9pm and Saturday from 9am to 5pm Monday on October 6 to 31. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: Fraser Highway between 27100 Block and 27300 Block, October 2 to November 14
Utility work on Fraser Highway between 27100 Block and 27300 Block is scheduled for October 2 to November 14 and will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9am to 3pm.

Additionally, utility work will occur on 272 Street, between 29A Avenue and the 3100 Block, with single lane alternating traffic during the following hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 7am to 7pm
  • Saturday: 7am to 5pm

Traffic impact: 232 Street between 7800 Block and Rawlison Crescent, September 29 to October 31
Maintenance work on 232 Street between 7800 Block and Rawlison Crescent will result in single lane alternating traffic Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: 203 Street between 66 Avenue and 67 Avenue and 66 Avenue between 203 Street and 205 Street, extended to January 30
Construction work on 203 Street between 66 Avenue and 67 Avenue and work on 66 Avenue between 203 Street and 205 Street, will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7am to 30pm until January 30. Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced.

Traffic impact: Highway 1 westbound between west of Mt. Lehman Road to west of 264 Street, mid-August
As part of the Fraser Valley Highway 1 Corridor Improvement Program, Highway 1 traffic patterns will change near 264 Street Interchange; drivers are advised to plan for these upcoming changes.

Starting mid-August 2025, traffic along Highway 1 westbound, from west of Mt. Lehman Road to west of 264 Street, will move to newly constructed lanes in the median. The reconfigured westbound off- and on-ramps at 264 Street will connect to these new lanes.

As early as mid-September 2025, traffic along Highway 1 eastbound, from east of 264 Street to east of Mt. Lehman Road, will move to newly constructed lanes in the median and onto the new westbound Bradner overpass.

These changes are in addition to ongoing overnight lane closures and are needed for the continued safe construction of the 264 Street Interchange, advancing the widening of Highway 1 through the Fraser Valley.

As part of the Highway 1 - 264 Street Interchange Project, there will be overnight rolling closures in effect from the evening of August 6 until the morning of August 10. Each slow roll closure may last up to 20 minutes, with a total of four (4) slow roll closures anticipated throughout the duration of this work. Traffic queues will be monitored in real time to manage flow and minimize delays.

Culvert replacement work on 63 Avenue at the 24200 block is scheduled to start this summer. The Township of Langley has selected a contractor to perform the work, and pre-construction planning for replacing the existing culvert is currently underway.

Construction will begin Monday, July 28 and is scheduled to take place Monday through Saturday, between 7am and 5pm. Project completion is anticipated for late September. During this time, 63 Avenue at the 24200 Block will remain open with a 24-hour a day single lane alternating traffic flow in place. Traffic control personnel will be on site during normal working hours. Outside of the working hours, automated traffic control signals will be in place. Construction noise, dust, and traffic delays along 63 Avenue may be experienced.

Traffic impact: Fraser Highway between 271 Street and 237 Street, July 16 to 31

This work will require intermittent overnight slow roll closures in both directions of Highway 1. Please note that eastbound and westbound lanes will not be impacted simultaneously.

The slow roll closures will begin July 8, and take place on weeknights only between 11:00pm and 4:30am until MJuly 22. Each slow roll closure may last up to 20 minutes, with a total of four (4) slow roll closures anticipated throughout the duration of this work. Traffic queues will be monitored in real time to manage flow and minimize delays.

Hours of work has been extended so work will occur both during the daytime and overnight. New closure hours are 6am to 3pm and 9pm to 6am.

Traffic impact: Lane closures on 56 Avenue and 264 Street, June 13 to 16
As part of the highway-widening project, lane closures will take place on 56 Avenue and 264 Street on the south side of the 264 Street interchange from 7pm on Friday, June 13 to 5:30am on Monday, June 16. Traffic will merge to single lanes and use single-lane-alternating-traffic patterns at times. The lane closures are needed for the continued construction of the 264 Street interchange to advance the widening of Highway 1 through the Fraser Valley. Access to local businesses will not be affected by the work.
